A Module Reflection on Independent Study

Designing a questionnaire allowed me to learn how to refine a question to eliminate vagueness and obtain a clear, relevant answer. Transcribing spoken language enabled me to discover the techniques that are used and how they differ from language that has been scripted. The corpus investigation proved very useful when needing to categorise words along with their connotations, and the literature reviews showed me how data can be evaluated in a clear, concise way. The skills I have obtained I can apply own studies and any group projects as I recognise the importance of a focused approach of data gathering.
