Group reflection on first year studies
We feel that the techniques learnt from the topics covered last year will help us to cohere as a group when it comes to working on a project, even if the premise seems daunting at first - we should have a relatively uniform understanding when it comes to corpus investigation, questionnaires, transcription and literature reviews. The issue of delegating work to individuals should not be a problem as long as we each express what particular kinds of work we would like to do. With some work on group organisation, we are confident this year's tasks will be achievable.

Well done, Group 2 - although it looks as though not everyone in your group has quite done as required as yet. Your individual comments show a good degree of self-awareness, and, like probably most people on the module, you're aware of the challenges you'll be facing as a group. On the other hand, you have a good set of collective resources to draw on, and you three, at least, seem well-prepared for the coming semester. I look forward to seeing how your project develops, and hope to see you at the induction lecture on Friday (27th) and of course the introductory lecture for this module the following Thursday (3rd October).
